Does a hero leap into action without hesitation, or do they need motivation?  Do all hero's need recognition, or do some walk away back into obscurity?  Does a hero need a public relation firm to represent them?  Or do they just wing it alone, hoping they get by on their good looks?  What if a hero is downright ugly?  Even maybe a clutch, jinxed, stupid, shy, depressed, short and tubby.  Afraid of heights, spiders, snakes, relationships.  Wears glasses, has a Hearing loss, introverted.  As common as a dust bunny under the bed.  Are hero's dime a dozen or one in a million, or a onetime thing and yesterday's news.  Does a non-hero wake up one morning and find they are suddenly gifted with powers or wake up and it is all a dream?  What if suddenly all the hero's one day suddenly vanish, and none are left on earth to save the day.  Except one reluctant person who doesn't even know they are a hero hiding under the bed with the dust bunny's when bullies show up from another world, alien space pirates taking over the world.  What if those very dust bunnies under the bed are aliens, allies who give our person the courage and the powers to defeat the alien bullies?  What if, who are we kidding, what if our reluctant hero is jinxed, stupid, shy, depressed, short and tubby, afraid of heights, spiders, snakes, relationships, wears glasses has a hearing loss, and is introverted, or just ordinary.  Sneezes and obliviates all the dust bunnies under the bed.  End of the world and our story ends before it begins.  But I don't believe in 'What if's'?  Neither did our Reluctant Hero.
